Seven-Up for Best Western in TTG Awards

BWI currently has a portfolio of more than 200 hotels and 32,000 rooms either operating or in the pipeline, covering 27 countries across Asia and the Middle East.

BANGKOK – Seven was definitely a lucky number for Best Western International (BWI) at the 24th Annual TTG Travel Awards 2013, which took place in Bangkok.

During a glittering ceremony, BWI was named as the Asia Pacific region’s ‘Best Mid-Range Hotel Brand’ for the seventh year in a row, as voted for by the readers of TTG Asia. The award marks the continuation of the company’s dominance in the Asian midscale hotel market.

And this award was just the start of a highly successful evening for BWI at the awards ceremony, which took place at the Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre.

The company also won the ‘Best Marketing & Relationship Effort’ award for the second year in a row. Part of the ‘Outstanding Achievement Awards’ category, this special honor is presented to the company that provides “outstanding, exemplary and inspirational” marketing efforts in the Asia Pacific region.

“We are delighted to have been named the Asia Pacific region’s ‘Best Mid-Range Hotel Brand’ once again, as well as receiving the ‘Best Marketing & Relationship Effort’ award,” said Glenn de Souza, BWI’s Vice President of International Operations for Asia and the Middle East.

“To win this award for a seventh consecutive year is a wonderful reflection of the outstanding reputation Best Western has developed in the Asia Pacific travel industry. But this success is no accident; it is the result of many years dedication from all our staff – both at our hotels and in our regional office – who work tirelessly to provide Best Western’s exceptional service to our guests and partners.

“We are expanding fast across Asia, but I am delighted to see that we have not lost the core values that have made the Best Western brand so well respected across the world – comfort, convenience and excellent service,” Mr. de Souza added.
