Pan Pacific Singapore unveiled a complete renovation programme

Pan Pacific Singapore completed its most extensive transformation in its 25-year history with a revitalised lobby and guest rooms as well as new dining concepts and a unique Pacific Club experience

SINGAPOREPan Pacific Singapore, one of Singapore’s most iconic hotels, unveiled its $80 million transformation after a five-month closure since April. Its biggest investment since opening in 1987, the hotel now boasts a revitalised lobby, 790 redesigned rooms, innovative and new dining concepts and a unique Pacific Club on Level 38, with 24 hour service offerings and enhanced technology.

Building on the strengths and heritage of the award-winning Pan Pacific brand, the transformed Pan Pacific Singapore now redefines standards of comfort and convenience, making guest stays effortless and refreshing.

The transformation of Pan Pacific Singapore comes on the back of comprehensive research on the changing needs of our guests and associates. As Singapore continues to remain a top destination globally, our transformation ensures the delivery of quality hospitality experiences synonymous with the Pan Pacific brand, thereby enhancing our competitive advantage locally as a premier hotel of choice for discerning business and leisure guests,” said Scott Swank, General Manager of Pan Pacific Singapore.

Setting the tone for the revitalised Pan Pacific Singapore is the fully transformed lobby with an upgraded arrival experience supported by integrated mobile check-in technology. Upon arrival, guests no longer need to check in the traditional way at the ubiquitous reception counter, as associates personally attend to them and handle the process via an iPad. A 22-metre long bar is the centrepiece of the Atrium where guests can enjoy a drink while being checked-in. Handmade timbre pods with adaptable booth-seating arrangements add to the welcoming and engaging atmosphere in the lobby.

A unique Pacific Club now occupies the top floor of the hotel at Level 38, providing spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding Marina Bay district and the South China Sea. Designed to blend the business and leisure needs of discerning guests, the Pacific Club experience comes with special round-the-clock privileges and services such as refreshments and cocktails, as well as personalised guest services. Pan Pacific Singapore’s decision to open the Pacific Club for 24 hours to cater to guests, further reinforces its efforts to enhance its service offerings.

Each redesigned room is fitted with guest-centric and functional enhancements, which includes a thoughtfully appointed workspace with an ergonomic Herman Miller desk chair, a bathroom with premium Hans Grohe fittings, and wireless internet access.

Guests can enjoy 24-hour services and cutting-edge technological features such as Internet Protocol (IP) telephony and Internet Protocol televisions (IPTV) which offer an unbeatable choice of entertainment and services at the touch of a button. An enhanced entertainment system enables guests to “plug and play” their mobile devices with the TV, while a “smart energy management” system helps conserve energy by allowing guests to customise their room temperature settings, and by automatically turning off the lights and air-conditioning when the room is vacant.

With the introduction of innovative and new dining concepts, a vibrant dining destination on level 3 lies for a diverse and sensory culinary journey. The hotel’s signature restaurant, Hai Tien Lo epitomises traditional Cantonese dining with a contemporary twist, while Edge, a theatrical and interactive dining space offers a culinary journey of the region and the Pacific Rim. Seven open kitchens invite diners to sample delectable Asian and Pacific cuisines – including Chinese, Malay, Indian, Singaporean, Thai, Japanese and Pan Pacific’s signature ‘Pacific Cuisine’ dishes inspired from around the Pacific.

Located in the lobby, Atrium features an extensive boutique wine list, boutique craft beers and a selection of specially-concocted Pacific Cocktails. Its centrepiece is an impressive 22-metre long bar. The accompanying Pacific Marketplace offers specialties ranging from fresh sandwiches to Mediterranean inspired salads. It comprises a patisserie and gourmet coffee bar.

Many people were involved in this milestone transformation for the hotel, especially our Associates whose tireless efforts the last five months have ensured a successful and timely transformation. We also want to thank our guests for their patience and continued support and the whole team is looking forward to welcoming them back to a transformed Pan Pacific Singapore,” added Mr Swank.
