“The outline of an agreement to appoint me as Myanmar tourism’s ambassador has been made and I really appreciate it and am so excited for our Myanmar’s future,” said Aung La N Seng on his social media network page.

“We are very glad to have him as Tourism Ambassador for Myanmar – he is a passionate advocate for Myanmar and we look forward to promoting the country. We believe that tourism is a good way to connect people and to bring development and peace all over the country for any race or religion,” said May Myat Mon Win, chairperson of Myanmar Tourism Marketing.

2018 has been a challenging year for Myanmar Tourism. Therefore, Myanmar Tourism Marketing has been promoting the industry through road shows, trade shows and media FAM trip for journalists, TV producers and digital marketing influencers from different countries.  Visa-free and visa on arrival entry for some Asian nationals would also encourage an even more growth as there appears to be strong demand for travel to Myanmar in 2019.
