Nok Air first airline in Asia Pacific to purchase Amadeus Total Demand by airconomy

Amadeus, a leading travel technology provider for the global travel and tourism industry announced that Nok Air, a low cost carrier based in Thailand, has signed up for Amadeus Total Demand by airconomy, a new data solution that provides airlines, airports and travel agencies with a comprehensive and accurate view of market demand on any given route.

Yodchai Sudhidhanakul, Vice President – Planning, Research and e-Commerce, Nok Air, said, “Amadeus’ expertise and leadership in travel distribution makes it the ideal partner in supplying us with this vital business intelligence. The data provided by Amadeus Total Demand by airconomy will enable us to make informed business decisions regarding our route network, based on precise evidence of market demand. This will become essential to help manage our fleet and capacity most effectively, and thus maximise our profitability.”

With Amadeus Total Demand by airconomy, Nok Air will be able to assess the revenue potential of new and existing routes, as well as find out market share information. This information will assist the airline in future decisions regarding its network and in the evaluation of new routes, based on actual travel data and passenger behaviour.

Nok Air is the first airline in Asia Pacific to adopt the new Amadeus Total Demand by airconomy product, which was launched in July last year, and is the second airline worldwide to implement the solution.
