Due to high demand, Finnair will add a sixth weekly flight to Osaka between July and October. The airline, moreover, will fly five times a week to Hong Kong between July and October, an earlier than planned increase from the present four flights a week.
At the beginning of March, Finnair announced that it will add a direct route for the summer to Hong Kong in addition to its existing flights to Shanghai and Guangzhou. The company will start operating the Hong Kong route in May with three flights a week. The direct flight will cut the travel time to Hong Kong by more than four hours.
From July, Finnair will fly from Helsinki to Osaka on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, with the return flights from Osaka to Helsinki taking place on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
The flying days from Helsinki to Hong Kong from July will be Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the return flights being on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The routes will be flown with Boeing MD-11 aircraft.
