LTM Asia 2012; An exclusive opportunity to meet escalating Asia-Pacific demand for luxury travel

ILTM (International Luxury Travel Market) Asia, the only luxury travel event dedicated to luxury travel buyers from across the Asia-Pacific region, will welcome over 400 high-end travel experiences to meet the burgeoning and diverse demand from the region at the 2012 event, 4-7 June 2012, Shanghai.

The latest ILTM Global Trends Report revealed in December 2011, showed that despite the financial climate, nearly 90% of luxury travel business leaders from the Asia-Pacific are currently finding business conditions better or much better than expected. This level of optimism across the region, together with the relative youth of many of the specific markets, has created a leading role for ILTM Asia to introduce both new and classic luxury travel solutions to luxury travel buyers from across the region. The event identifies regional luxury travel trends and information, facilitating ideas and education – vital for any company wishing to increase business from across the diverse Asia-Pacific region.

Alison Gilmore, ILTM and ILTM Asia Exhibition Director commented: “The Asia-Pacific is driving growth in the luxury travel industry. There are an estimated 250 million people from China now defined as ‘buyers of luxury’, and notably appearing to be following the Western trend of ‘spending for experiences’ in their travel preferences. With Japan and Australia as established and integral outbound markets within the region, our research shows strong outbound luxury travel growth from other key markets including India and South Korea.”

ILTM Asia is exclusively created for Asia-Pacific buying elite: planners and designers of luxury travel to meet directly with the world’s leading – as well as the latest – luxury travel suppliers in a series of bespoke pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings and build on or develop long-term relationships. To ensure a one-to-one ratio of arranged meetings throughout the event, 400 elite travel experiences from across the world are invited to meet with a similar number of discerning buyers from the Asia Pacific alone at the event. These elite suppliers represent hidden luxury to wild escapes, authentic to gastronomic experiences, elite transportation to wellness retreats and spas, pampered luxury to philanthropy.

With ILTM also renowned for identifying insights into the future of the luxury travel industry, ILTM Asia 2012 will host a series of valuable educational programmes to assist buyers and suppliers with understanding specific regional markets and their wealthy clientele as well as increasing luxury travel sectors.

ILTM Asia 2012 has already confirmed a spectrum of elite exhibitors who recognise the vital role the event plays in increasing business within the region. These include Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Jumeriah Hotels & Resorts, Trails of Indochina, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Ritz-Carlton, &Beyond, Abercrombie & Kent, Cox & Kings, Relais & Chateaux, Fregate Island, Cheval Blanc Courcheval and the Capri Palace Hotel & Spa in Naples to name a few.
