JAL Hotels Co., Ltd. announced that BTG Nikko International Hotel Management Co., Ltd., its joint venture partner company in Beijing, China, will open “Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing” on December 20th. The hotel is now called Beijing New Century Hotel, and will be?re-flagged as a member of the Nikko Hotels International chain.
BTG Nikko International Hotel Management was founded in April, 2004, as a joint venture corporation by JAL Hotels and Beijing Capital Tourism Co., Ltd. in order to provide hotel management services for hotels with four and above stars in China. The company’s first priority as target locations are the 12 cities in China where Japan Airlines has air routes.
Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing will be the second hotel in the Nikko Hotels chain in Beijing after Jinglun Hotel. The company intends to further develop and operate “Nikko” brand hotels.
Beijing New Century Hotel was opened in April 1992, as a five-star deluxe hotel. To reinvent the hotel under the “Nikko” brand, renovations on guest rooms on the fifth to the ninth floor will be undertaken, and are scheduled to be completed by February 2005. The hotel will be operated as a flagship hotel in China meeting global standards for luxury.
