Increase in holiday bookings for September

Bookings for holidays this September are up 75% year on year, according to the cheap holidays specialist, lowcostholidays.com, with great value deals available for customers looking for a last minute break. Top selling holiday destinations for September include the Canary Islands, Egypt and mainland Spain.

“With unfortunate images in the press of stranded passengers, we want to reassure our customers that they can book a great value holiday safely with us,” commented CEO Paul Evans. “We are an established and profitable business with over 300 employees providing holidays and travel arrangements for over 2 million passengers every year. All our customers affected by the ash crisis were given 100% refunds. Any customers affected by the Kiss Flights failure will receive a full refund and we are working hard to rebook their flights so they can get away on a well-deserved holiday.”

Matt Hall, Head of Product at lowcostholidays.com added, “Holiday makers are still booking with online travel agents as they recognise the great value to be had. Sales in July across the group were up 93% year on year and forward bookings are up 75%. Holidays to Egypt this summer are up 135% year on year and the Canary Islands are up a massive 250% increase year on year. The British public will never give up on their holiday or stop searching for the best prices which we are committed to giving our customers.”
