Grand Hyatt Hong Kong celebrates twenty-fifth anniversary

The evening began with a champagne welcome reception in the hotel's iconic lobby, followed by a luxurious cocktail party at the Tiffin lounge.

HONG KONG – After months of careful planning, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong hosted its twenty-fifth anniversary cocktail party on26 November 2014.

The grand event was themed “Rising To New Heights”, symbolising the hotel’s continuing commitment to delivering authentic hospitality and creating memorable moments for all its guests for another 25 years. The evening began with a champagne welcome reception in the hotel’s iconic lobby, followed by a luxurious cocktail party at the Tiffin lounge.

About 400 guests attended the special occasion, which featured a night of exceptional entertainment. Lucy Kay, the second runner up of “Britain’s Got Talent” offered a sensational opening act by singing three opera songs. After her enchanting performance, General Manager Philip Yu gave a thank-you speech and guests were surprised with confetti.  After toasting, guests were invited to proceed to Tiffin to continue the celebration. Another surprise came when famous Hong Kong singer Kenny Bee and his band were invited onstage. Mr Bee’s cheerful performance brought the evening to its peak.

In addition to the entertainment, guests indulged in the culinary team’s delicious canapes, including pan-fried foie gras and crispy duck pancake rolls; and 12-hour braised Australian Wagyu beef cheeks with black winter truffles. Live cooking stations featured our restaurants’ signature dishes, including sauteed prawns with crabmeat sauce and chilli (One Harbour Road), Acquerello risotto with white alba truffles (Grissini), premium sashimi (Kaetsu), grilled Japanese scallops (The Teppanroom) and fresh shucked oysters (Grand Hyatt Steakhouse).

Grand Hyatt Hong Kong thanked WRG for the production of this remarkable event.
