Firefly Airlines signs codeshare agreement with Malaysia Airlines Berhad

The partnership took effect from 22nd December 2015, and allows customers to book routes to Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Penang via any Firefly ticket booking platforms.

SUBANG – Firefly Airlines has announced its codeshare partnership with Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB), starting with 3 destinations on the airline’s route network from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). The partnership took effect from 22nd December 2015, and allows customers to book routes to Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Penang via any Firefly ticket booking platforms.
 
Firefly’s Chief Executive Officer, Ignatius Ong said, “Together with Malaysia Airlines, we at Firefly are ecstatic to be able to provide customers with more travel options. We have no doubts that the offering of the ability to book flights to East Malaysia will be a boon to our loyal customers. With the launch of these initial three routes; Firefly will gradually increase the number of codeshare routes with Malaysia Airlines in 2016.
 
As always, we go beyond the extra mile to provide convenience and connectivity to our passengers, and in the coming weeks, Firefly is excited to be able to offer even more route options with Malaysia Airlines,” added Ong.
