EVA Air will introduce direct passenger flights between Taipei, Taiwan and the United States territory of Guam on June 18, 2011. Starting with two flights a week, the airline will serve its new Mariana Islands route using Airbus 330-200s. Travelers can book, buy and reserve seats now through travel agents and brokers and on EVA’s website.
EVA flight BR20 will depart Taoyuan International airport at 22:45 (10:45 pm) on Tuesday and Saturday and arrive at Guam’s A.B. Won Pat International Airport at 04:40 (04:40 am) the next morning. Return flight BR19 will leave Guam on Wednesday and Sunday at 06:10 (6:10 am) and land in Taoyuan at 08:15 (8:15 am) the same morning. Flight time from Taipei to Guam is 4 hours and 55 minutes and the return from Guam to Taipei is 3 hours and 5 minutes.
Over the past few years, Guam has become an increasingly inviting destination for Taiwanese travelers and is an especially attractive location for weddings. Adding greater ease and convenience for these travelers, Taiwan passport holders can enter Guam and stay as long as 45 days without a visa.
