Emirates wins the vote from Travel Trade Industry in Asia

Emirates, has been voted `Best Middle East/African Airline` at the prestigious TTG Asia Travel Awards. Readers of TTG Asia and TTG China, leading publications for the travel trade in the region, have awarded Emirates the top accolade in this category for the second successive year.

The 15th annual TTG Awards took place last week in Bangkok and was attended by key figures in the Asian travel and transport industry.

Receiving the award on behalf of Emirates, Mr. Soonthorn Suree, the airline`s manager for Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos said: We are delighted to receive this recognition from the travel trade. This prestigious award endorses Emirates` efforts to constantly redefine top quality service in air travel.

He added: Industry partners play a pivotal role in our success, and Emirates will continue to work closely with the travel trade to deliver the best product and services to travellers.

Inaugurated in 1989, the TTG Travel Awards are divided into 50 categories, including Airlines, Hotels, Travel Agencies and Best National Tourism Organization (NTO). All winners are nominated by readers of TTG Asia and TTG China, and the two Outstanding Achievement Awards for Travel Personality of the Year and Destination of the Year, are selected by the TTG Travel Group editorial team.

TTG Asia and TTG China together have a weekly circulation of 29,800 and are amongst the most widely read travel trade publications in the Far East. The readership is made up of travel agents, tour operators, tourist boards, hoteliers and airline personnel.

Since its launch in 1985, Emirates Airline has received more than 260 international awards in recognition of its efforts to provide unsurpassed levels of customer service, including repeated Best Airline awards from Skytrax, Official Airline Guide (OAG), and Business Traveller.
