Destination Properties Company Limited, a resort property investor and developer based in Bangkok, Thailand has recently acquired the Kamala Bay Terrace Resort in Phuket under a plan to turn the prime beachfront property into a high-end 5-star boutiqueresort.
With plans to expand the number of rooms over the next twelve months Destination Properties has scheduled the first phase of the refurbishment to be completed by the end of 2006—and the expansion phase by early 2007.
Gary Murray, CEO of Destination Properties, said the Company intends to position this property as a boutique resort in the up and coming Kamala Beach area. “This resort is one-of-a-kind in Phuket not only with a beautiful beach but also has one of the most spectacular views of the entire beach coastline. Our focus is to provide a romantic getaway for couples and honeymooners. We have even included a Thai style wedding chapel overlooking the entire Kamala beach and sunset.”
