Bangkok Airways' new uniform strikes 1 of 7 most outstanding flight attendant uniforms by Condé Nast Traveler Magazine.

BANGKOK – Recently, Bangkok Airways’ new cabin attendant uniform was acclaimed as 1 of 7 most outstanding airline uniforms of the world by Condé Nast Traveler Magazine in the article – “7 Flight Attendant Uniforms That Make Fashion Statements”.

Mr. Cliff Muskiet, a well-known critic and blogger who runs Uniform Freak Blog, which collects flight attendant uniforms of more than 440 airlines throughout the world said in Condé Nast Traveler Magazine’s website “I like the different colors of blue they have used, and I like the variety. It looks fresh, modern, and feminine at the same time. I thank Bangkok Airways for keeping their uniforms so colorful. I think the blouses are great.”

M.L. Nandhika Varavarn, Bangkok Airways’ Vice President for Corporate Communications said “Bangkok Airways is so glad and proud that our new flight attendant uniform was acclaimed as 1 of 7 most outstanding flight attendant uniforms of the world by Condé Nast Traveler, which is one of the top travel magazines. These new uniforms were designed by Mr. Polpat Asavaprapha of the ASAVA brand, Thailand’s leading designer. The new uniform was launched in May 2012 and we received positive feedback from passengers and fashion gurus that they are so colorful, practical and modern. We use different shades of blue which is our airline’s corporate color. This underlines our slogan – Aisia’s Boutique Airline.”

Mr. Polpat Asavaprapha at ASAVA, who designed the new uniforms, said “Blue stripes representing blue wave and sky is inspired from the painting on Bangkok Airways’ aircraft. I then created stripe pattern with shades of blue and turquoise.  Silk-Poly fabric has been chosen to give a feeling of lightness and comfort to the person wearing it. Especially for air hostess, I designed dress in pattern of skirt and trousers mixture which offers not only outstanding look, but also informality and flexibility.”
