China’s leading meetings, incentive & business travel expo ibtm china 2016 is in progress

The 11th edition of ibtm china will connect MICE suppliers with top level organisers and planners of meetings, events, conferences, incentives and business & group travel in China, Asia and worldwide.The annual showcase is expected to attract over 5,000 MICE industry professionals from around the world.

BEIJING – China’s leading meetings, incentive and business travel expo ibtm china is in progress. Interested exhibitors and potential hosted buyerscan apply online via www.ibtmchina.com. The two-day showcase will take place at the China National Convention Centre in Beijing from September 7-8 2016.
 
The 11th edition of ibtm china will connect MICE suppliers with top level organisers and planners of meetings, events, conferences, incentives and business & group travel in China, Asia and worldwide.The annual showcase is expected to attract over 5,000 MICE industry professionals from around the world.
 
The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) predicts that2016 is the year when China is “poised to overtake the US as the number one business travel market in the world”. China National Tourism Administration predicts that Chinese outbound travel will increase by 10%, reaching 120 million visitors. In the past ten years, ibtm china has invited between 3,000 and 4,000 buyers and over 5,000 exhibitors to come to China, which contributes to the rapid development of the MICE industry in China.
 
Senior Project Manager for ibtm china, Cici Chen, said: “China has witnessed rapid expansion of the outbound MICE tourism market with spending in European countries alone expected to reach close to US$800 million by 2020. For the past 11years, ibtm China has been the leading platform for the world to connect with MICE business opportunities whether they are in China, Asia or world.
 
The 2015 ibtm china post event report revealed that around 70% of Hosted Buyers controlled MICE budgets exceeding US$1 million. Through the 2016 “Hosted Buyer Programme®”, ibtm China will host 400 leading buyers and planners from all over the world. The show will facilitate one-to-one meetings for hosted buyers and exhibitors. Exhibitors will have opportunity to arrange up to 32 appointments over the two days. 
 
ibtm china 2016 will also showcase around 400 top exhibitors from all over the world, including conference venues, airlines, cruises, hotels, destinations, finance and travel insurance, travel technology support, business travel and conference event service.
 
Destination DCisa debut exhibitor this year. Their objectives for attending are “to explore opportunities in the market and learn how to best position Washington, DC to the Chinese customer”, said Clare Hogan, International Convention Development Manager.
 
The Korea Tourism Organization has been participating in ibtm china for the past five years. The representative said: “We have participated in ibtm china for five consecutive years and have truly benefited from this great platform, establishing valuable contacts with many industry partners. In 2014, we attracted a MICE tour of 15,000 travelers, and in 2015 we have signed a deal for an overseas delegation of 8,000.
 
Ms Chen noted: “Exhibiting at ibtm china provides suppliers with so much more than just a stand at an exhibition. Our objective once again is to facilitate the very best business opportunities for our attendees.
