China International Travel Mart 2012 comes to a successful end

The China International Mart 2012 was concluded with success, accommodating 2514 exhibition stands and attracting exhibitors from 104 countries and regions.

CHINA- China International Travel Mart 2012 jointly organized by China National Tourism Administration, Civil Aviation Administration of China and Shanghai Municipal Government was successfully held at Shanghai New International Expo Center from November 15 to November 18.

The grand event offered a total exhibition area of 57,500 square meters, accommodated a total of 2,514 exhibition stands and attracted exhibitors from 104 countries and regions, outdoing the Mart 2010. There were 1582 exhibition stands for domestic exhibitors and 932 exhibition stands for international exhibitors. 1198 buyers from about 40 countries and regions such as South Korea, Russia, the United States and Europe came to the event for business talks. The exhibitors were from a much more diversified range of sectors, like governmental tourism organizations, travel operators, hotels, tourist attractions, airlines, cruise ship operators and travel websites. Shanghai provided the largest contingent of exhibitors in the country with an area of 720 square meters.

The curtain fell on the 4-day event on November 18, 2012. According to incomplete statistics, the event attracted upwards of 100,000 trade visitors and consumers and saw 7054 contracts signed with a value of RMB 800 million.
