Carlson Rezidor to grow leisure segment sales with appointment of Director of Global Sales, Leisure

Scott McConnell will be spearheading the global sales for the leisure segment, leveraging on Carlson Rezidor’s innovative sales avenues, delivering greater revenue streams to the group’s portfolio of hotels.

SINGAPORE – Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, announced on June 6 the appointment of Scott McConnell as director, Global Sales – Leisure, Asia Pacific.
 
Scott will be spearheading the global sales for the leisure segment, leveraging on Carlson Rezidor’s innovative sales avenues, delivering greater revenue streams to the group’s portfolio of hotels. He will be responsible for key account management and the acquisition of new accounts, working in tandem with the Asia Pacific Commercial team.
 
With immense experience in the leisure market, Scott is an asset to Carlson Rezidor. His success in sales excellence and relationship management will be instrumental to building the affinity of our brands and fully capitalizing on the opportunities of this strong and growing market potential,” said Sandy Russell, vice president, Commercial Operations, Asia Pacific. 
 
A seasoned industry professional with over 18 years’ experience, Scott was most recently the global account director with Langham Hospitality Group where he was responsible for the management of the leisure, travel, MICE and entertainment markets for their global portfolio. He also has a rich understanding of on-property sales having served positions at several hotels in Australia and the Millennium London Mayfair.
 
Scott has a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Tourism degree from Monash University in Melbourne.
 
He is based in Sydney and reports to Cathy O’Connor, senior director, Global Sales – MICE, Asia Pacific.
