Best Western opens Resort Paradise in Malaysia

Best Western International has continued its exciting start to 2013 with the launch of a stunning new resort in Malaysia.

BANGKOK- Located in the popular coastal town of Port Dickson, just 40 minutes’ drive from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and 90 minutes from KL, the BEST WESTERN Prima Inland Sea Resort offers an exciting new option for leisure travelers and corporate groups.

Set within 23 secluded acres, this stunning 300-room resort is set upon Malaysia’s largest manmade beach – a palm-fringed paradise the size of five Olympic-sized swimming pools! Taking advantage of this tropical environment, BEST WESTERN Prima Inland Sea Resort is centered on a huge, lagoon-style swimming pool, complete with waterslides, pirate ships, whirlpools and waterfalls.

BEST WESTERN Prima Inland Sea Resort is the ideal destination for corporate groups, with 16 multi-purpose functions rooms catering for events large and small, and the 875m² Grand Prima Ballroom able to accommodate up to 1,500 guests. Wi-Fi is complimentary throughout the resort.

“With such an incredible array of facilities and its location close to Kuala Lumpur, BEST WESTERN Prima Inland Sea Resort is the perfect destination for family getaways and corporate retreats,” said Glenn de Souza, Best Western International’s Vice President International Operations – Asia & the Middle East.

“The Malaysian hotel sector is currently booming, driven by the increasing spending power of Malaysian travelers, excellent transport links, and the quality of accommodation on offer. As the beach resort of choice for so many Malaysians, Port Dickson is at the very heart of this growth. We are confident the BEST WESTERN Prima Inland Sea Resort will become one of our most popular Asian properties,” Mr. de Souza added.

BEST WESTERN Prima Inland Sea Resort becomes the sixth Best Western property in Malaysia, and continues the company’s rapid expansion in the country. Last year, Best Western debuted in Kuala Lumpur with the launch of Malaysia’s first luxury BEST WESTERN PREMIER hotel, and the company also has firm plans to add six more destinations across the country, including KL, Ipoh, Melaka, Shah Alam, Petalingjaya and Port Klang.
