Best Western named Best Mid-Range Hotel Brand at TTG Travel Awards

Best Western has been named as the Best Mid-Range Hotel Brand at the prestigious TTG Travel Awards. Best Western was also selected by TTG’s editorial team to receive the Best Marketing & Relationship Effort Award.

BANGKOK – The awards keep rolling in for Best Western. For the sixth consecutive year, it has been named as the Best Mid-Range Hotel Brand at the prestigious TTG Travel Awards.

Selected by the readers of leading travel trade publications TTG Asia, TTG India, TTG China, TTGmice and TTG-BTmice China, Best Western was honored for, among other things, its “consistent commitment to excellent service”.

The award saw Best Western fend off competition from not only the traditional midscale hotel groups, but also an increasing number of new brands launched by major international hotel chains, which have chosen to follow the success of the Best Western brand.

And that’s not all! Best Western was also selected by TTG’s editorial team to receive the Best Marketing & Relationship Effort Award. This special award, under the Outstanding Achievement Award category, is presented each year to the organization that has shown the best marketing and brand development efforts.

Glenn de Souza, Best Western International’s Vice President International Operations – Asia & the Middle East, said that to be honored with the title of Best Mid-Range Hotel Brand is just as important this year as it was when the company first won the award six years ago.

“When we first won this prestigious title in 2007 it gave us confidence that our brand was resonating in the Asian market,” Mr. de Souza said. “But now, six years later, to win this award again is just as special as it was the first time. Indeed, with the increasing levels of competition in the midscale market, to achieve this award is more difficult now than ever before.”

Commenting on the Outstanding Achievement Award, Mr. de Souza added; “The travel trade remains a crucial part of our business, and we couldn’t have achieved our success without their support. To be recognized by our trade partners is incredibly heart-warming, and we look forward to making our trade relations even stronger in the future.”

Best Western, which first launched more than 66 years ago in California, now has a global portfolio of over 4,100 hotels including more than 200 properties in operation going through rebranding and under construction across Asia and the Middle East.
