Best Western International to open second hotel in east Malaysia

Best Western International is introducing its newest hotel in Malaysia – Best Western Sandakan Hotel and Residence in Sabah, Malaysia. Opening in August 2011, it is the second property to have joined the chain’s expanding presence in East Malaysia.

Situated in Bandar Letat Jaya, midway between Sandakan airport and the city centre, the 110-room hotel is ideally located in the new commercial and entertainment development area of Sandakan. The hotel’s convenient location makes it an ideal address offering both leisure and business guests a truly memorable experience in Sandakan.

Designed in a contemporary style, the hotel’s well appointed guestrooms feature select TV, an Interactive Progressive Television (IPTV) system which enables the guest to work online, send and receive messages, order room service, access cable TV / radio channels plus view their bill at any time. Each room has a comfortable working area, refrigerator, coffee/tea making facility and hairdryer.

Hotel patrons will delight in being able to ‘surf the web’ as a result of complimentary WIFI access in all rooms and public areas of the hotel – a service which is standard throughout all Best Western hotels worldwide.

The hotel offers 110 rooms, ranging from Superior Rooms to three Bedroom Apartments. There will be two choices of dining and entertainment options which includes LJ’s Grill and Bar serving Asian and Continental grilled specialties with ‘live’ entertainment and The Olive Garden, a fusion of Mediterranean cuisines. A delicatessen outlet is also available that offers a wide range of “take home” lifestyle items from fine wines and cigars to classic delicacies.

“Best Western Sandakan Hotel and Residence will be a welcoming sanctuary for both holiday-makers and business travelers. It’s destined to become the address of choice in the area for those seeking relaxation and a place to spoil the senses” said Mr. Alexandre Stephane, the hotel’s general manager.
