Atlanta-Based truvle sets up Asia Pacific office

The Atlanta-based company announced it is partnering with Valuemakers International, Ltd., in India. As truvle’s representatives for the India market, Valuemakers has offices in New Delhi and Bangalore and a staff of more than 25 travel and media professionals throughout the country. The company’s CEO, Rahul Nath, is a travel industry veteran, who has spent the past 20 years working closely with travel, hospitality, entertainment and events businesses in India’s major cities and leisure destinations.

Working with Valuemakers, truvle will target Indian travel sellers across the board, including agents, airlines, hotels, railroads and tour operators. Among the target markets are the country’s top destinations of New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkatta, Guwahati, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Pune, Jaipur, Chandigarh and Cochin.

“Valuemakers brings to the table an in-depth knowledge and outstanding record of success in India’s booming travel industry,” says Alon Zaibert, truvle’s founder and CEO. “India’s airline capacity is estimated at roughly 5 million tickets monthly for domestic flights alone*. Add to that, the international flights going into and out of the country, and you begin to see the potential of this vast and fast-growing market.”

This latest truvle initiative will bring to India a dynamic platform that doubles as a handy travel tool and a new form of digital media. The pioneering technology takes the static text-based email itinerary and confirmation that travel sellers send to their clients and gives it’s a dramatic overhaul. In its place comes the bright, contemporary truvle Trip Itinerary/Planner packed with links to useful trip information – restaurants, nightlife, entertainment, sporting events, airline check-ins, car rentals, currency exchanges and more. The Trip Itinerary/Planner also features banners, ads and promotions. Content is tailored to the traveler’s destination, travel dates, gender and flight class.

As digital media, these customized ads provide clear, immediate reporting. The Trip Itinerary Planner also can produce an extra revenue stream for India’s travel professionals, who can use the banners and ads to promote their own products and services. Or, they can sell the space to their preferred suppliers and split the revenue with truvle.

“India will have a completely new media vehicle that is wide-reaching but targeted and reasonably priced,” Nath explains. “Ads will be available online as well as in the hard-copy form that many travelers hold onto for the duration of their trip. This exciting new media presents an outstanding way to reach the enormous and highly desirable audience of India’s travelers on the go.”

Travelers will find the Trip Itinerary/Planner is easy-to-use, according to Zaibert. He says the technology facilitates travel by putting everything in one place. Travelers can make reservations and purchases; check in for flights; and get directions, maps, weather and currency exchanges and more directly from this customized, user-friendly travel tool.

“We are thrilled to be teaming up with Valuemakers,” Zaibert concludes. “And we couldn’t be more excited about the potential for our multi-dimensional platform in the booming Asia Pacific travel market.”
