HONG KONG- Air Astana continues expanding its network, with the announcement of a new service between Kazakhstan’s largest city, Almaty, and Hong Kong. The new route will be the sixth destination that Air Astana introduced in 2012 with three more to follow.

Direct flights between Hong Kong and Almaty will be operated twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays starting from 28 August 2012 by Boeing 757 aircraft offering 16 seats in business class and 150 seats in economy class. Flights KC930 departs from Hong Kong at 22:15 and flights KC929 departs from Almaty at 01:35. Convenient connections are offered thanks to the comprehensive network of Air Astana. The airline is well connected to the former Soviet Union with flights serving Baku, Tbilisi, Bishkek, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Dushanbe, Tashkent and more.

The new service from Almaty to Hong Kong will be launched as part of the airline’s 10th anniversary. The celebration was an opportunity for Air Astana to boost its network with nine new international destinations. Earlier this year the airline launched new services from Astana to Tashkent and Baku, from Almaty to Kazan, as well as from Astana to Saint Petersburg.  During the second half of 2012 new services will begin from Astana to Beijing, Omsk and Tbilisi, as well as from Atyrau to Moscow.  Ranked by Skytrax as a 4 Star award-winning air carrier for its services, passengers will enjoy a high level of quality services on board of the Kazakhstan national carrier.
