Accor secures management of Hanoi Hotel

Accor, the largest international hotel operator in Vietnam, announced that it has reached an agreement to manage Hanoi Horison Hotel, commencing August 1, 2009. It will be Accor’s third hotel for the capital.

The 250-room Hanoi Horison Hotel is located in a prime city location on Cat Linh Street, with easy access to embassies, government offices, commercial institutions, Giang Vo Exhibition Centre and tourist attractions such as the Temple of Literature.

Hanoi Horison Hotel is owned by Global Toserco Limited and will undergo extensive refurbishment, following which the hotel will adopt Accor’s Pullman brand, in 2011. The Pullman hotel brand is Asia’s fastest growing 5 star hotel brand, with the current network of 10 hotels and 17 projects committed for development throughout Asia.

“The Hanoi Horison Hotel has been a significant part of the Hanoi landscape for the past decade and serves as host to many of the city’s important events. We are delighted to welcome the hotel to the Accor network” said Patrick Basset, Vice President of Operations – Vietnam, Philippines, Japan and South Korea. The hotel features a restaurant, a lobby bar, an outdoor swimming pool and a pool side bar, a fitness centre, and significant event facilities that can accommodate up to 1,000 people. The hotel will continue to be a meeting and incentive venue in Hanoi for business and conference clientele.

“Accor remains strongly committed to Vietnam tourism and continues to develop quality hotels covering all segments of the market. Next month, the Mercure Hanoi La Gare will open, Hanoi’s first purpose built 4 star hotel, further strengthening Accor’s diversified portfolio.” added Basset.

Accor currently manages the Sofitel Metropole Hanoi and Sofitel Plaza Hanoi, both located in thecity centre.
