Accor Premiere Vacation Club (APVC) has officially launched its first Asian resort property for Members, as part of the new Novotel Nusa Dua Resort in Bali on March 15th 2007. The Australian holiday-ownership (timeshare) company owns 23 apartments in the new Novotel Nusa Dua resort complex, and will open its first Asian Sales Centre on April 5th 2007.

Whilst visitor numbers to Bali have revitalized from Europe and parts of Asia, the Australian market has been slow to recover, though with the start of Jetstar’s new services as well as additional flights from Garuda ex Perth there has been encouraging demand for the apartments from APVC’s Australian and NZ Members.

“It is a small – but significant – vote of confidence in the future of Bali tourism,” said CEO of Accor Premiere Vacation Club, Marty Kandel.

“Nusa Dua has a long-term reputation as a very quiet and family-oriented area with a high level of stability. It is the ideal location for our first property and Sales Office in Asia – and will offer our Australian and New Zealand members their first resort in Asia, providing an even greater diversity of choice.”

“Bali is an ideal short-haul overseas destination from Australia, and popular as an intra Asia route, and with its wonderful natural attractions, friendly people, climate, shopping and beaches, we believe this new resort will be a great addition to the APVC network. Bali is the perfect place to commence our Asian sales, as it is popular with tourists and Indonesians from Jakarta, Surabaya and other major cities,” concluded Kandel.
