Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, TCEB, organized a fam trip with international travel and MICE editors to be familiar with Thailand as a MICE destination, and especially as “The Kingdom of Bleisure“, where business travelers can experience a variety of destination and business opportunities, highlighted by global business and leisure rankings.

TCEB has formed numerous collaborations and networks linked to open up grand new chapters of business opportunities and to strategically enhance every business success with special care that will spur lasting advancements and achievements. Its goal is to equipping business events industry at national, regional, and global stage for continuous development, long-term growth, and sustainable success.



Tiffany’s Show Pattaya, is the Original Transvestite Cabaret Show, is a spectacular amusement for delegates during MICE events. Originating as a one-man show performed for friends on New Year’ Eve in 1974, Tiffany’s Show Pattaya is a household word in Thailand and Asia as well as around the world.


During 2016, (fiscal year Oct 2015 – Sept 2016) the MICE industry in Thailand welcomed a total of 1,273,465 international MICE visitors, generating revenue of 102,936 billion bath or USD 2,941 million, including 258,483 corporate meetings delegates, generating a revenue of 23,445 billion baht of USD 669,8 million, 263,556 incentive visitors, generating a revenue of 16,217 billion bath or USD 463,34 million, 298,564 convention visitors, generating a revenue of 25,789 billion bath or USD 448,1 million, 180,480 exhibition visitors, generating a revenue of 21,799 billion bath or USD 622,82 million


Top 10 source markets for Thailand’s International MICE industry during 2016 were, China, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, US, Hong Kong, Korea, Indonesia, and Vietnam


In 2016, ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association) placed Thailand 24th, with 174 international meetings, an improvement from 27th place in 2015, with Bangkok, Chang Mai, and Pattaya ranking higher than the previous year as well.


Thailand 4.0 is the policy where innovation will drive the economy of the country. It is a shift to high value added economy including the MICE industry. Thailand 4.0 is the new economic model that aims at pulling the country out of the middle- income trap and developing it as a high-income country. Thailand has passed through three economic development models. Thailand 1.0 with an emphasis on agriculture, Thailand 2.0 focused on light industries, Thailand 3.0 is currently emphasizing in heavy industries for continued economic growth.


Thailand: The kingdom of Bleisure – The country’s fundamental pillars of Thailand MICE industry are Business Opportunities, and Diverse Destinations, and the People of Thailand, which is the perfect mix that makes Thailand the leading destination for Bleisure travellers.


The Pattaya – Hua Hin ferry service is part of the Thai government’s East-West Ferry project, which aims to boost tourism between Chonburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan. The service was officially launched in February 2017 by Royal Passenger Liner Co. Ltd and it is Thailand’s first ferry route across Gulf of Thailand linking Bali Hai pier in the south of Pattaya to the seaside resort town of Hua Hin in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province.


Mrs Supawan Teerarat, Vice President of TCEB’s Strategic and Business Development, mentioned during her speech that “derived from TCEB’s brand communication campaign, we present ideas for the Bleisure route and theme meetings which are all possible for MICE events in Pattaya, Hua Hin, and Bangkok. Combining these three destinations, we introduce aspects of the Thai journey through luxury, cultural, culinary, and CSP experiences to show that Thailand can transform ordinary business events into memorable and endearing success.”
