Russia and Turkey agreed on the collaboration in tourism sphere

Federal Agency for Tourism of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Turkish Republic signed the partnership agreement in frames of Intourmarket 2012. Federal Agency for Tourism of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Turkish Republic signed the partnership agreement in frames of Intourmarket 2012. This agreement was signed by the first Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Turkish Republic Ozgur Ozaslan and the Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism Alexandr Radkov.

Taleb Rifai, the General Secretary of the World Tourism Organization, attended the Ceremony of signing of the Russia-Turkey agreement.

As for Alexandr Radkov, the agreement provides for the mutually beneficial exchange of the information in the sphere of investment projects, efficient cooperation in the security sphere, as well as the first response to the crisis situations.

The Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism also hopes that the active cooperation with Turkish partners will help to the increase the incoming tourist flows. “Turkey is an important guiding market. Every year more than 8 million Turkish citizens travel all around the world but we receive only 200 thousands” mentioned Alexandr Radkov. “Russia has a lot to offer on the Turkish market. These are traditional routes of the culture and educational, health improving tourism as well as different kinds of ecological and active travel”.

Ozgur Ozaslan announced that Russia is an important market for Turkey not only in terms of tourism, but also in terms of social and economic cooperation. “The agreement, which was signed today, should lead to mutually beneficial increase in the tourist flow. We, for our part, will do our best to implement it” said the Deputy Minister.
