Quarantine-Free for all international travelers to Korea starting June 8

The quarantine exemption also applies to travelers that came before June 8 and are currently in quarantine, as all quarantine will be lifted on June 8.

Seoul, South Korea – Started from yesterday, June 8, 2022, all international travelers to Korea are not required to quarantine regardless of their vaccination status. During the briefing on June 3, it was announced by the Central Disease Control Headquarters that with a continuous decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases and stabilizing in progress, lifting quarantine for international travelers will be possible.

The quarantine exemption also applies to travelers that came before June 8 and are currently in quarantine, as all quarantine are lifted on June 8. But COVID-19 testing will still be in effect, making it necessary for travelers to submit a negative COVID-19 test result. Travelers must do a PCR or Rapid Antigen Test before departing to Korea and an additional PCR test within three days of arrival in Korea and submit a negative PCR test result. If travelers do not have a negative test result or lack proper information, they will be unable to board their flight. Also, if travelers get a positive test result upon arrival, they must directly get quarantined.

Central Disease Control Headquarters recommend using the Q-code system before getting on the flight to make the arrival process quicker by scanning the QR code upon arrival.
