The Laguna Resort & Spa in Bali completes extensive renovations

Discover the transformed Laguna Resort & Spa in Nusa Dua, Bali. Experience elevated coastal cuisine at Arwana restaurant and unwind at Kulkul Beach House. A fusion of timeless charm and modern elegance awaits.

LONDON, UK – The Laguna Resort & Spa, a distinguished property under the Luxury Collection brand, proudly announces the successful conclusion of its comprehensive renovation journey. This remarkable transformation, spanning over a year, encompasses revitalized rooms, enhanced dining establishments, and the latest addition – the Arwana restaurant. Situated on the stunning Nusa Dua beach in Bali, The Laguna Resort & Spa has undergone its first renovation in over three decades, positioning itself as a timeless and authentic destination that harmoniously blends past, present, and future.

The culminating point of this renovation phase is the unveiling of Arwana restaurant, a vibrant Asian grill beachfront dining establishment that celebrates elevated coastal cuisine. Inspired by the modern boathouse concept, Arwana exudes a nautical ambiance, highlighted by interactive open kitchens featuring Basque grills. The menu is a tribute to Asian flavors, featuring a diverse selection including dry-aged grilled steaks, succulent lamb chops, and a captivating array of Balinese seafood such as Sumberkima oysters, Karangasem Bali Lobster, and Basque Fired Barramundi Fillet. Complementing the exquisite cuisine, an extensive wine list and a maritime-inspired cocktail menu are also offered, each cocktail accompanied by a sea tale that inspired its creation.

Lucia Liu, the General Manager of The Laguna, expresses her enthusiasm, stating, “These are exciting times, and we look forward to showcasing the new look of The Laguna to our esteemed guests. Arwana represents an exceptional culinary journey that celebrates vibrant seasonal flavors. Our centrepiece open kitchen, featuring Basque grills, elevates seafood and premium meats to create a haven for food enthusiasts in an elegant beachfront ambiance.”

The Arwana experience is complemented by the recently introduced Kulkul Beach House, an inviting beachside venue characterized by chic yet laid-back design elements. Overlooking a 12-meter adults-only swimming pool, Kulkul Beach House provides a serene setting for leisurely moments. The return of Kulkul heralds thoughtfully reimagined interiors, updated food menus, and an increased focus on sustainable dining and zero-waste drinking. The menu caters to a variety of preferences, from vegetarian and vegan options to traditional fares and exceptional seafood selections.

The renovation journey encompasses a total of five distinct dining destinations within the resort. De Balé Lounge & Bar, perfect for sundowners while enjoying Balinese performances, and Banyubiru Restaurant, offering an authentic Balinese culinary experience, were completed during the initial phase of renovations. The design elements of the renovated rooms are a reflection of Bali’s rich heritage and maritime influences, further complemented by the Luxury Collection’s travel-centric ethos.

The Laguna Resort & Spa’s meticulous renovations celebrate the essence of Balinese culture while presenting a fresh and modern perspective. With Arwana restaurant’s dynamic culinary offerings and the serene charm of Kulkul Beach House, the resort presents a renewed allure to discerning travelers seeking an authentic and enriching experience in the lap of luxury.
