FCm continues European growth into Greece and Cyprus

Brian DonnellyFCm Travel Solutions has established new partnership agreements with long-standing travel companies in Greece and Cyprus, as part of its ongoing expansion in Europe.

In Cyprus, FCm has partnered with Amathus Travel Ltd, one of the most established corporate and leisure travel specialists on the island.

Founded in 1947, Amathus Travel Ltd is a fully owned subsidiary of Amathus Public Ltd and part of the Lanitis Group, which has diversified interests in aviation, travel, tourism, shipping, cargo transportation and hotel ownership and management.

Headquartered in Nicosia, Amathus Travel Ltd has a team of 85 people and operates four business travel centres in the island’s major cities. Its annual sales currently exceed €23m.

The company is also the owner and operator of Let’s Go Tours, one of the island’s leading tour operators, and offers incoming tourism services for both leisure tourism and MICE through specialised departments.

In Greece, FCm has partnered with Amathus Hellas SA, which is also a subsidiary of Amathus Public Ltd.

Established in 1998, Amathus Hellas SA is widely considered a strong player in the market. The company is based in Athens with two travel centres, and has annual sales in excess of €6m.

FCm’s regional director EMEA, Mr Brian Donnelly, said both new partners were recognised as leading travel organisations.

“These companies service some of the largest and most prominent corporations in their countries, and this is because they are known for their quality of services and their customer oriented approach,”
Mr Donnelly said.

“We also selected these companies because, like FCm, they come from a very strong and established background. The Lanitis Group is a major player in this region’s travel sector and provides the financial stability and negotiating strength to underpin the success of its companies. Likewise, FCm is part of the global business Flight Centre Limited, which is one of the world’s fastest growing travel companies.

“With the addition of Cyprus and Greece to our established operations in Malta, Croatia and Libya, FCm is well placed to handle all corporate travel activities in this important Mediterranean region.”

FCm in Cyprus and Greece offers an extensive range of business travel services, as well as dedicated MICE and destination management services including event management, incentives and team building programs.
