For the second time in three years the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre has been rated among the top three in a prestigious survey of convention centres around the world.
The survey, known as the Apex Award, is conducted annually by the Association des Palais de Congres (International Association of Congress Centres, AIPC). Based in Brussels, AIPC is a non-profit organisation with more than 130 members worldwide. Its survey is conducted exclusively on research with the clients of each participating centre.
The Brisbane Convention Centre was one of 19 international finalists vying for the highly respected `Apex` award which was taken out by Centre des Congres de Quebec with Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos a Coruna making up the top three.
General Manager of the Brisbane Convention Centre, Mr Robert O`Keeffe, said the rating was an objective and respected endorsement of the standards of performance and client satisfaction on which the success and reputation of the Centre have been built.
“Acknowledgement at this highest international level is a very welcome honour which demonstrates the Centre`s consistency of high performance levels and supports the Centre`s outstanding achievements including industry Hall of Fame recognition on three separate occasions” he commented.
“We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of service delivery to our clients as our national and international business continues to increase from year to year and to contribute exponentially to the economic benefit of Brisbane and Queensland,” he added.
To further facilitate this, the Centre has recently expanded its sales and marketing teams to maximise opportunities in the current market conditions and to consolidate its position as a global leader in the international meetings and events industry.
