Voyages Hotels and Resorts has launched a new advertising and brand campaign to coincide with the recent acquisition of P&O Australian Resorts. According to CEO Grant Hunt, the new campaign and recent expansion symbolises the company`s pursuit of world`s best ecotourism practice.

The eye-catching campaign, which promotes the company`s social and environmental management practices, was unveiled this month.

Grant Hunt commented We consider ourselves particularly privileged to operate lodges, resorts and tours in spectacular wilderness locations. Because of this, the social and environmental contracts that we have created with local communities and environments are not an option – they are a vital way of life for us.

We are really proud of this campaign which we believe captures the very essence of this commitment in its look, tone and compelling closing line Because World`s Best Practice isn`t our goal. It`s where we start.

The Voyages logo also will undergo a slight change. It will no longer read `Voyages Hotels and Resorts` but simply read `Voyages`. This change was made in response to research showing that Voyages is viewed as more than a hotel company – rather as a total travel experience.

The hand, spiral and star images will remain as these reflect the company`s belief that travel should enrich the body, mind and spirit.

The hand represents the body and conveys the expanse of the Australian continent – home to the company. It also recognises that, like a Voyages experience, each palm print is unique. The spiral represents the mind. It suggests a journey that either leads back to its core or expands beyond new horizons. The star represents the spirit. With seven points it depicts all the points of the compass – the direction of all possible journeys. It also reflects the Australian Federation of States and Territories.

The advertising and branding campaign is just the start of our future as one team. Mr Hunt said. The integration of world class operations, such as those the P&O team have built, is an exciting challenge and our goal will be to harness these tremendous synergies and forge a path that ecotourism operators the world over will want to follow.

The print campaign will roll out in Australia over the next few months in leading business and lifestyle magazines nationally.

Voyages is an Australian travel company providing experience-based holidays in spectacular wilderness locations, including the Red Centre, Top End, Queensland and Tasmania, and operates award-winning properties such as Longitude 131
