Waldorf Astoria Beijing continues its reign as one of Beijing’s most prestigious luxury hotels

These new awards in 2017 are the latest in the long line of accolades the hotel has received since it first opened its doors in 2014 when it quickly became a favored destination and as it continues to dominate its position as not only Beijing’s choicest hotel but one of the worlds.

BEIJING – Three new awards were bestowed upon The Waldorf Astoria Beijing in 2017, cementing its standing as a leader in the luxury hotel market in Beijing and throughout China. It has been a remarkable and memorable year for the hotel though these recognitions and honors would not be possible without loyal guests, visitors and partners to whom Waldorf Astoria Beijing is eternally grateful and looks forward to welcoming back in 2018.

In addition, Waldorf Astoria Beijing announced it has been recognized as a winner in the luxury hotel category of the 2018 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice awards for Hotels, ranking 21st out of 25. Travelers’ Choice award winners were determined based on the millions of reviews and opinions collected in a single year from TripAdvisor travelers worldwide. In the 16th year of the awards, TripAdvisor has highlighted the world’s top 8,095 properties in 94 countries and 8 regions worldwide.

Travel and Leisure USA, awarded the hotel “The World’s Best Hotels in Beijing” as well as “The 10 Best City Hotels in Asia” saying “In sprawling Beijing, location is everything, and the top-rated Waldorf Astoria’s central position alone makes it top choice. The hotel is just a few minutes’ walk to both the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, in the Wangfujing neighborhood. Plus, there are only 176 rooms, giving it a more intimate atmosphere that feels decidedly boutique – especially if you spring for the villa, which surrounds a garden courtyard and is inspired by traditional Chinese hutong neighborhoods. Readers also noted the exemplary staff, who are quick to suggest restaurants and shops that are off the beaten path“.

In addition, Conde Nast, the predominant leader of travel trends and unique stays awarded the Waldorf Astoria with a place on their “Best Gourmet Getaways Hotel of the Gold” and CNN Travel listed it as one of their favorites on their well-publicized list of “Beijing’s 20 Hotels” stating “the Waldorf is housed in a stunning latticework of copper and bronze that, architecturally, outshines all around it. Approachably boutique in scale, its silk-lined, sculpture-strewn corridors exude privilege and class, while the 175 rooms boast art deco accents, Ferragamo amenities, and, if you can bag an upper, west-facing floor, views towards Beihai Park and the Forbidden City“.

These new awards in 2017 are the latest in the long line of accolades the hotel has received since it first opened its doors in 2014 when it quickly became a favored destination and as it continues to dominate its position as not only Beijing’s choicest hotel but one of the worlds.
