TUI Russia & CIS will start working in inbound Russian travel market. TUI plans to acquire control stock of Svoy Travel Group. The merger will be finished in March 2011.
Svoy Travel Group will become a part of TUI Travel PLC Accommodation & Destinations (A&D) which specializes in outbound travelling. A&D subdivision is represented in 42 countries. Nevertheless, Svoy Travel will keep the brand.
Svoy Travel Group (Svoy) specializes in hotels’ bookings in Russia and organization of trips for Russian and foreign tourists and companies.
It’s interesting to note, that Svoy Travel is a part of SV – Travel Group Holding which was established in 2002. The holding unites several companies: Svoy Tour International (outbound tour operator), Svoy Travel (inbound tour operator) and Iberrusia (Spanish tour operator).
