TRAVDEX and OpenTravel alliance partner on industry summit

TRAVDEX, the one-stop shopping trade show for travel technology, announced a partnership with the OpenTravel Alliance to promote a groundbreaking summit of leading travel industry trade organizations at the inaugural TRAVDEX in May 2010.

“OpenTravel’s mission is to provide robust XML-based connectivity solutions and specifications to the entire travel industry,” said Valyn Perini, executive director of OpenTravel. “By partnering with TRAVDEX, we can bring more attention to the need for e-distribution standards and engage directly with leading technology providers, integrators and buyers from across every industry segment.”

TRAVDEX brings together travel technology sellers and travel industry suppliers, intermediaries and other technology purchasers in a global trade show. TRAVDEX debuts May 5-7, 2010 at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta. TRAVDEX is produced by PhoCusWright Inc., the leading authority on how travelers, suppliers and intermediaries connect.

The OpenTravel Alliance is the first travel, tourism and hospitality industry association to announce its support of the TRAVDEX industry summit, which will bring together executives from the travel industry for business networking and deal-making sessions beyond the buyer-seller interactions of the TRAVDEX trade show.

“Technology enables innovation, and TRAVDEX showcases the best and the brightest players in travel technology,” said Philip C. Wolf, president and CEO of PhoCusWright. “We are thrilled to be working with the OpenTravel Alliance to attract their members and other trade associations to this premier industry gathering of sellers and buyers.”
