Santiburi Beach Resort & Spa launches unique beach butler service

Dedicated service staff make sure there is always a sun lounger available for guests and they also provide two clean beach towels per person, plus complimentary iced bottled mineral water, daily servings of tropical fruit and ice cream.

KOH SAMUI, Thailand – To help guests enjoy the the champagne sands that fringe Koh Samui’s serene North Shore, Santiburi Beach Resort & Spa has launched a unique “Beach Butler” service right by the gentle lapping waves of the Gulf of Siam.

Dedicated service staff make sure there is always a sun lounger available for guests along the resort’s 300-metre beach frontage and they also provide two clean beach towels per person, plus complimentary iced bottled mineral water, daily servings of tropical fruit and ice cream, all to be enjoyed by the water’s edge or by the beautiful 50-metre freeform swimming pool which paints a swathe of cool blue amidst the resort’s thick greenery and mature tropical gardens.

Santiburi beach butlers are also trained to keep a discreet eye out for how much sun guests have been exposed to and offer informed recommendations on sun protection. They can be called upon to take orders for food and drink which can be served right to the sunbed.

“Mae Nam beach is lined with some 600 coconut palms and has far fewer people per square metre than any other stretch of sand on Koh Samui,” says the resort’s General Manager Cedric Bonvin. “Tempting as it may be to stay carefree on our beach all day, you can get too much of a good thing. Our beach butlers ensure guests stay refreshed, hydrated, and make the most of our beautiful setting,”

From the private paradise of the resort’s half-moon bay to the full expanse of beach dappled with the shade of coconut palms, Mae Nam’s warm, calm waters and gentle sloping beach are ideal for family frolics or intimate moments for romantic couples.

“The island’s North Shore is more than geography, it’s a state of mind,” adds Mr.Bonvin. “It’s your personal place in the sun, far from the madding crowd and tourist hordes. A place of peace and stunning natural beauty with a rare sense of exclusive escape.”

Koh Samui’s balmy shores are also ideal for sailing, and the calm waters off Mae Nam beach offer ample opportunity for a range of wind-powered watersports activities. Beach lovers keen to mess about on the water can make use of kayaks, Laser sailboats, windsurf boards and a selection of Hobie cats at the Santiburi Watersports Centre.

The resort is currently offering a special promotion called “A world on the water, powered by the wind” which includes free sailing lessons with a watersports instructor, free use of all watersports equipment, a delicious seafood BBQ dinner on the beach for two, and roundtrip airport transfers.
