Safemark Systems signs Global Supplier Agreement with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts

Safemark Systems, an Orlando-based global supplier of in-room safes to the hospitality market, is pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts to become the designated supplier of guest room safes for the brand’s collection of luxury hotels worldwide.

Said John Foley, Vice President of Sales, Safemark, “We are proud to be working with an iconic and revered brand like Fairmont. We have worked hard over the last few years to fully develop our global distribution footprint, and we are now in a position to offer the same great service and support that our Americas-based customers have come to enjoy.”

Both companies met at HOTEC Middle East, one of several HOTEC meetings forums created for hotel owners, developers, operators and suppliers to discuss and finalize deals. “We give credit to the HOTEC team and organization for bringing our two companies together to finalize this agreement,” said Foley.

“At Fairmont, we’re focused on fostering mutually beneficial and long-lasting relationships with our suppliers,” said Mubashar Shahab, Fairmont’s Corporate Director, Procurement. “While value and budget are important considerations, we also look at other key aspects such as global reach, reliability, quality and ethics during the vendor selection process. Safemark was a natural choice given their extensive knowledge of our business and their commitment to quality and service.

The new guest room safes that Safemark Systems will supply to Fairmont will meet or exceed the models that are currently in use. They will feature an internal light and will be able to accommodate 15-inch laptops and in some cases, 17-inch laptops. They will also guarantee a standard audit trail that compiles the last 240 events including guest openings, closings, time outs, all management functions including emergency openings by key or EHO detailing the full name of the authorized user; as well as an audit of the management software that includes activity by all authorized personnel, detailing additions of new personally and removal of outgoing personnel — this specific audit is unlimited and can be traced back to the first day of installation.

As part of this new partnership, Safemark will also become the designated supplier of guest room safes for Fairmont’s global sister hotel brands, Raffles Hotels & Resorts and Swissotel Hotels & Resorts.
