Japan product for both brands includes customized vacations for FIT and Groups, including flights, hotel accommodations, airport transfers, high-speed train tickets, exciting tours and activities, and more. The Japan hotel portfolio features several top brands popular with American travelers, including Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott and others, all of which are directly connected and offer real-time rates and availability. Travelers looking for a traditional Japanese accommodation will enjoy Suiran, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Kyoto. Airline partners featured in the portfolio include American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, British Airways and China Southern Airlines. Many of these offer nonstop flights from the United States to Tokyo.

Travel agents can also book one-way or roundtrip Shinkansen Bullet Train tickets with either brand, as well as a variety of commissionable sightseeing excursions and day-trips. These include city tours, sushi making, visits to Hiroshima & Miyajima, Mt. Fuji, a walking tour in a bamboo grove and more. In addition, Pleasant Holidays will offer three- and four-day Mini-Package Tours that include hotel, bullet train transfers and more with departures from Tokyo, all conveniently bundled together. Journese will offer private excursions for a fully immersive experience.

The announcement marks Pleasant Holidays’ return to Japan after a 10-year hiatus. Pleasant Holidays originally purchased Japan & Orient Tours, a major Asia tour operator, in 1997 and evolved it into the Pleasant Asia Holidays brand, which operated for more than 10 years. Pleasant Holidays exited the Japan & Asia market during the economic recession in 2009.
