The Nepal Tourism Board and the PATA Nepal Chapter have created exclusive tour itineraries for delegates attending the PATA Adventure Travel and Responsible Tourism Conference and Mart (AT&RTCM2011) in Pokhara, Nepal, February 7-11. The tours are either complimentary or heavily discounted, and give an in-depth cultural insight into Nepalese heritage and culture.
Delegates will enjoy a complimentary sightseeing tour of Pokhara, which is a rare combination of snow-clad peaks and snow fed lakes and rivers. A must-see for all visitors to Pokhara valley is the Phewa Lake, the second largest lake in the kingdom. Delegates will also visit many attractions in the city including Bindhyavasani Temple in the old bazaar; David Fall (Patale Chhango) and Seti River.
The pre-and-post tours of Kathmandu are available in either three-nights/four-days or five-nights/six-days packages. Delegates will visit Pashupatinath Temple, one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, and Boudhnath Stupa, one of the biggest stupas in the world. In addition, the tour includes a visit to the temple of the Living Goddess; Swayambhunath, the 2,000-year old stupa painted with the eyes of Lord Buddha; Durbar Square; Bhaktapur, the home of medieval art and architecture; Patan city, the city of fine arts and the Royal Chitwan National Park. Delegates will also enjoy scenic views of Mount Everest and other peaks of the Himalayans range from Nagarkot and Dhulikhel.
