Delegates will also enjoy scenic views of Mount Everest and other peaks of the Himalayans range from Nagarkot and Dhulikhel.

Said Greg Duffell, CEO, PATA: “Nepal is a great destination for adventure activities and we are very pleased to bring this event back to the mountain kingdom, especially significant in 2011, which has been declared as Nepal Tourism Year. The Responsible Tourism Conference has also attracted some eminent speakers, and we hope to come away with some great learnings that will benefit our industry. Pokhara is an extremely fitting venue for a discussion of this nature, and the Nepal Tourism Board as well as the PATA Nepal Chapter have taken great pains to ensure they put together detailed tour itineraries that will afford delegates an enhanced overall view of this picturesque city.”

Said Prachanda Shrestha, CEO, Nepal Tourism Board: “The year 2011 is Nepal Tourism Year, which is a market-driven event that links the tourism products of Nepal with international consumers and tourism market. The mileage that the country is expected to gain will surely benefit Nepal’s tourism industry, because it has an element of enticement to attract even more tourists to visit Nepal. Nepal Tourism Year 2011, as a national campaign, will not only increase tourism revenues but also bring in infrastructural development in the tourism industry, along with the better participatory role of the local community. Needless to say, the event will draw attention to Nepal’s unique adventure options, eventually expanding the market for adventure travel.”
