November a month of appreciation for Wotif Group hotels in Malaysia

Last month, Wotif Group, operator of leading online travel brands in the Asia Pacific region, feted the Malaysia hotel industry with an appreciation event in Kuala Lumpur (KL), and presented awards to top hotel partners across the country.

Over 80 hotel executives in total attended the event, held at Joseph@Kitchen in KL’s Menara UOA on 19 November, to celebrate their successful partnerships with Wotif Group and to witness their best-performing peers receive Hotel Awards. These Awards honoured their achievements in successfully attracting travellers and registering bookings on Wotif.com, AsiaWebDirect.com and LateStays.com – the Group’s accommodation brands in Asia.

On 18 November, the company also commemorated the opening of its almost 30-strong Malaysia country office in Kuala Lumpur’s Bangsar district with a party for hoteliers and leaders in the hospitality industry.

Sii Eawsakul, Wotif Group’s Executive General Manager for Asia, said, “Malaysia perfectly encapsulates the immense diversity of Asia and is a top tourist and business draw in the region. Traveller demand for Malaysian accommodation is only set to grow in the coming years.

“The opening of the new office, as well as our three partner appreciation events, is an indication of our commitment to this market and our confidence in its potential. We’re proud to play a key role in helping local hotels reach customers around the world, and we will continue to innovate new ways to support their marketing strategies.”
