More benefits for agents booking groups

NCL launches group travel autumn campaign

NCL has launched an autumn group travel campaign rewarding agents with bonus Group Points on top of its existing group booking incentives.

Until 31 October 2009, agents will receive three additional Group Points for every group allocation set up on selected itineraries departing from May 2010 to 2011, on top of the standard Points allowance.

The extra points can be used by agents to attract customers with more on board benefits and can be redeemed against a wide range of experiences, from speciality dining and spa treatments to free bubbly, wine or chocolates. The flexibility of how points can be spent on board means agents can use them to customise their own promotions and create unique offers for guests.

As well as Group Points, agents will still receive NCL’s existing group incentives including discounted rates of up to £80 per person off brochure fare, and one free berth for every eight staterooms sold.

Stephen Park, General Manager, NCL UK commented, ”Group travel represents a great opportunity for agents and it is an area we are investing in so our travel partners can create simple and profitable promotions to boost their commissions.

“We know that in the current climate it’s especially important for agents to be creative with their selling techniques and this is why we’re giving them the tools to tailor their own in-store promotions to give them the best chance of converting sales.”

NCL’s groups programme means that to enjoy these benefits agents simply select a cruise they wish to promote and hold eight staterooms or more to form a ‘group’. After registering the group with NCL’s specialist sales team they will then be eligible to receive group pricing and Points which will apply from the first passenger booked.
