Nha Trang will be connected for the first time to mscow by Vietnam Airlines. It will be the first European connection from the coastal city to Europe.
HANOI-Vietnam’s national flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, launched a direct air route, connecting Moscow of Russia and central coastal Nha Trang of Vietnam, on January 28.
The new direct route will create favourable conditions for Russian tourists as well as other foreigners wishing to visit beauty spots in central southern region of Vietnam, thus helping realise the national tourism strategy.
The first flight will be scheduled for April 5 with one weekly flight on Friday in summer, using Boeing 777-200. The frequency will be two flights a week as from the next winter.
On this occasion, the carrier will launch promotion campaign, offering a 10 percent discount for two-way tickets for the route until June 30.
Nha Trang is one of the fastest growing destinations in Vietnam. An international sea tourism fair titled Seas, Islands, and Tourism Development wants niow to capitalize on the city appeal next June.
Nguyen Van Tuan, director general of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, said the fair would define key markets like Russia, Western Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, introduce tourism services offered in Nha Trang, Quang Ninh, and Ninh Thuan, and connect the fair with the Nha Trang Sea Festival.
Many activities will be organised within the framework of the fair, including meetings, seminars, and tours to showcase the coastal provinces’ distinctive cultural features and food.
There will also be various promotions, a conference on investing in sea tourism, a ceremony to give away awards to the best hotel, resort, and travel agency, and a golf tournament.
The event ultimately aims to showcase Nha Trang Bay, one of the world’s 29 most beautiful, to foreign and domestic tourists, and create opportunities for businesses to meet and develop relationships with potential partners.-VNS
