India’s State Tourism Boards will promote new experiences at SATTE

India travel show SATTE 2013 will put in highlight new tourism products and destinations from various Indian States in both New Delhi and Mumbai.

DELHI- In a bid to increase footfall to their destinations, State Tourism Boards such as Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Goa have joined hands with SATTE to showcase not just their tourism products, but also the experiences they have on offer. Madhya Pradesh will use this platform to create awareness among the stakeholders about its innovative steps to expand its tourism product portfolio. Moreover, Madhya Pradesh Tourism is seeing SATTE as an opportunity to draw private investment to strengthen the hospitality infrastructure of the state through PPP mode.

For Goa Tourism SATTE has always been one of the premium travel trade events. The state perceives SATTE 2013 as an extravagant platform to showcase Goa to a wider range of audience and promote new tourism attractions. Jammu & Kashmir Tourism will focus on promoting its three regions: Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh at SATTE this year.

At SATTE 2013, Gujarat Tourism will highlight its emerging tourism products and destinations, like Saputara, beach tourism, Rann of Kutch and various fairs and festivals. Punjab Tourism, Himachal Pradesh Tourism, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board and Andhra Pradesh Tourism will focus on showing its heritage, Buddhist, festivals and ethnic tourism profile at SATTE. Moreover, North Eastern states will be showcased in the ‘Incredible India’ pavilion set up by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. Gujarat is the ‘Principal Partner’ state and Madhya Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir are partner states at SATTE 2013. Apart from these, almost every states/Union Territories are participating in SATTE this year to promote their tourism products.

SATTE 2013, which will be held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, from 16-18 January, 2013 will witness a vast participation of many major Indian and global players. SATTE Mumbai, its companion event, will be held at World Trade Centre on January 21-22, 2013.
