Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts Gulf Roadshow 2004 hits five cities in five days

An 17 strong group of General Managers and Directors of Marketing from Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts worldwide completed a five-day, five city whirlwind Gulf tour in Dubai on December 1.

The Toronto headquartered luxury hotel group’s tour showcased a number of Four Seasons hotels to leading travel professionals in the GCC region. This year, the tour visited Riyadh, Kuwait, Bahrain, Doha and Dubai. Representing Four Seasons hotels and resorts in the Middle East were General Managers and Directors of Marketing from Amman, Cairo, Doha, Riyadh and Sharm El Sheikh while delegates also travelled to the Gulf from Four Seasons hotels in Sydney, London, Paris, Provence (Southern France), Milan, Washington, New York and The Maldives.

The tour was designed to bring greater awareness of the group’s regional and global network via workshop presentations and informal dinners in each destination.

“This is the second year running that Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has taken a Roadshow around the Gulf region,” said David Crowl, the group’s Vice President Sales and Marketing, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Geneva based Crowl added: “The Middle East and the Gulf in particular is an increasingly important market for our properties both within the region and outside. Our aim is to bring our products to leading travel professionals and, collectively, strengthen our relationship with them.

“It also gives us the opportunity to reinforce our message of commitment to the Middle East and showcase our portfolio of new properties coming up in Arabia and elsewhere,” he explained.

Since the first Four Seasons hotel in the Middle East opened in Cairo in May 2000, the brand has become established in the region and is synonymous with luxury and anticipatory service.

The group presently operates two hotels in Cairo, a luxury resort in Sharm El Sheikh and properties in Amman and Riyadh. In spring 2005, Four Seasons Hotel Doha will open its doors Construction is also underway on hotels in Damascus, Alexandria, Beirut, Kuwait, Marrakesh and Dubai while several properties are soon to open further afield, including Hampshire (England), Hong Kong and Langkawi (Malaysia).
