EVA adds 2nd Philippine gateway, starts Cebu flights

The new nonstops complement EVA’s existing twice daily service to Manila and, with the option of flying into one gateway and returning from the other, expand itinerary possibilities for Philippines-bound passengers.

TAIPEI, Taiwan – EVA Air is launching daily flights between Taipei and Cebu in The Philippines, starting March 27, 2016. The new nonstops complement EVA’s existing twice daily service to Manila and, with the option of flying into one gateway and returning from the other, expand itinerary possibilities for Philippines-bound passengers. A thriving business and trade center, Cebu also offers a rich cultural heritage as the oldest city in The Philippines and location of the first Spanish settlement. In addition, it is known for stunning mountain views, beautiful beaches, excellent diving and luxurious resorts.

Early morning arrivals and easy one-stop connections make the new Cebu service especially convenient for EVA passengers from North America, including Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver. The airline is serving the route with comfortable Airbus 321-200s configured to carry eight passengers in Business Class and 176 in Economy. EVA flight BR281 departs Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport at 7:10 am and arrives in Mactan-Cebu Philippines International Airport at 10:05 am. Flight BR282 returns from Mactan-Cebu at 11:05 am and lands back in Taoyuan at 2:00 pm (14:00).
