Constance Hotels Experience target the upmarket Indian traveller

Constance Hotels Experience, Mauritius, a part of the Constance Group and one of the leading luxury hotel groups in the Indian Ocean is all set to woo high spending tourists from India. The group will promote their Mauritius, Maldives, Seychelles and Madagascar properties focusing on key markets like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata this year.

The Hotel Group recently made an entry into the Indian market appointing Nijhawan Group as its marketing representative and Blue Square Consultants as its PR arm in India.

According to Ms. Lubaina Sheerazi, Head – Business Development, Blue Square Consultants, “With the growing India outbound market and the ever increasing disposable incomes, we see the luxury outbound traveller contributing around 60% to this segment. Even though India currently holds a marginal market share for Constance Hotels, given its outbound potential and growing traffic to destinations like Mauritius and Maldives, we are expecting immediate growth from India.”

“We will be targeting the high net-worth individuals and families in metros like Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore in the first year” she added.

Mr. Ankush Nijhawan – MD – Nijhawan Group said, “India with an estimated potential of 50 million outbound Indian travellers by 2020, is a key market to be captured by Constance Hotels. 75% of Indians travelling to destinations like Mauritius and Maldives opt for high end luxury accommodations, hence giving Constance Hotels a great opportunity in the Indian market.”

Adding to this, Mr. Peter Rohan Malik – Business Development Head – India, Nijhawan Group said, “Our strategy in the B2B sector will be partnerships with the key tourism stakeholders and collaborators from destinations which have presence in India for Mauritius, Maldives and Seychelles. In order to give the Indian travel agent a feel of Constance hospitality and firsthand experience of our services, USP’s and accommodation facilities we will be hosting FAM trips to all destinations.”
