Centara appoints enthusiastic and experienced General Manager for new COSI hotel on Samui

Ms. Vatmongkol brings 15 years of experience and knowledge working for leading 5 star hotels in Bangkok and in Pattaya to Centara’s first COSI brand hotel.

Bangkok – Centara Hotels & Resorts, Thailand’s largest hotel operator, announced the appointment of Vatmongkol Rasisawas to manage its innovative new COSI hotel on Thailand’s Samui island. Ms. Vatmongkol will take over responsibility for the first hotel of Centara’s new COSI brand, launched by Centara last December to serve a new generation of independent travellers. The hotel is located on Samui’s popular Chaweng beach.

Ms. Vatmongkol brings 15 years of experience and knowledge working for leading 5 star hotels in Bangkok and in Pattaya to Centara’s first COSI brand hotel. She is familiar with Centara, having previously worked at their flag-ship Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at CentralWorld. Before rejoining Centara, she was General Manager at Sovereign Group Hotel in Bangkok. She holds a Master’s degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Derby in the UK and the Swiss Hotel Management School in Switzerland.

Her hobbies of skateboarding, sailing and surfing suit her well for the youthful COSI brand, designed for freedom-loving travel lifestyles with innovations such as social hubs, smartphone integration, and 24/7 café credits included with room rates.

On every job you do, you have gotten to raise your game and COSI team has lively ambition toward success. I am very much fascinated to stand differently for COSI brand and look forward to my role and working with the COSI Crews” said Vatmongkol.

We’re excited to have Ms. Vatmongkol join us” said Centara Deputy CEO, Markland Blaiklock. “I can’t think of anyone better suited to run the fun new COSI on Samui. Our guests and partners will love her blend of professionalism and creative energy.”
