In response to strong market demand, China Airlines will increase flights on the Kaohsiung-Nagoya and Taipei-Guam routes in October. The new flights will provide more frequencies and greater convenience for Taiwan-based passengers traveling to Japan and Guam.

Starting October 1, two weekly flights will be added to the Kaohsiung-Nagoya route, for a new total of four weekly flights. Flight CI 152 will depart every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday at 08:20 from Kaohsiung, and arrive in Nagoya at 12:25. Return flight CI 153 will leave the same day at 13:25 and arrive in Kaohsiung at 15:45.

Starting October 14, the Taipei-Guam route will also be increased from two flights to four flights per week. Flight CI 026 will depart Taipei every Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 00:15, and arrive in Guam at 06:10. The return flight CI 025 will leave the same day at 07:50 from Guam, and arrive in Taipei at 09:40. Both routes use modern B737-800 jets with 158 seats.

Since its inauguration in July, market reaction on the Kaohsiung-Nagoya route has been very positive. The increased flight frequencies will help relieve the strong market demand. China Airlines is currently the only carrier on the Taipei-Guam route. With help from the local tourism authority and the travel trade, demand for Guam flights has been increasing, and load factors are stable. The increased flights on this sector will meet the demand for market growth.
