BBTF is about highlighting the diversify of its sources of economic growth from tourism

At the heart of the BBTF 2022, “Balancing in Harmony” is an inspirational concept aiming at reviving a post-pandemic tourism industry.

The 8th Bali and Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF) will be held from Tuesday, June 14th to Friday, June 17th, 2022 at the Bali International Convention Center (BICC) Nusa Dua, Bali, as an offline and virtual event. The gathering is renown as the Indonesia’s Leading Travel Fair annual tourism industry event that this year ready to highlight the opening for international market.

Week in preparation of the main event, the stakeholders feature “Road to BBTF 2022” a media meeting centered around the concept of “Balancing in Harmony”. Government regulations and business opportunities for the tourism industry potential to take a strategic part in the local and national economic recovery will be actively addressed.  The press conference and talk show gather distinguished speakers, are: Taufik Nurhidayat, S.Sos, MM – Coordinator of Nusantara Tourism Marketing Area I (Sumatra) Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Prof. Tjok Oka Sukawati – Vice Governor of Bali, I Putu Winastra, S.Sos – the Head of Committee of BBTF 2022, Ida Bagus Agung Partha Adnyan – Chairman of the Bali Tourism Board (BTB), Oriol Montaland – General Manager Multi Property Vice President The Westin Resort Nusa Dua Bali, and hosted by Yoke Darmawan – the Media Coordinator of BBTF 2022.

As a venue for domestic and international B2B meetings, BBTF aims at playing an important role in delivering information to the public and educating foreign buyers about strategic concepts, such as sustainable tourism and wellness and health tourism.

This year’s BBTF features 13 Indonesian provincial destinations, namely; DKI Jakarta, Aceh, Bangka Belitung, Special Region of Yogyakarta, Central Java, East Java, East Kalimantan, East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, South Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, North Sumatra and Bali – including 5 priority destinations namely; Lake Toba, Mandalika, Borobudur, Likupang, and Labuan Bajo. The presentation of this destination also provides space for performing arts, culture, and the uniqueness of each region.

BBTF is about highlighting the diversify of its sources of economic growth from tourism. The rise of wellness & health tourism, cruise tourism, and MICE will be addressed as strategic factors of success along with a continuous development of local infrastructures.

At the heart of the BBTF 2022, “Balancing in Harmony” is an inspirational concept aiming at reviving a post-pandemic tourism industry and its stakeholders active in the promotion of strategic sectors and priority destinations.

This year BBTF attracted 181 sellers from 30 regencies/cities from 13 provinces including Bali and Indonesia as a whole, and 273 buyers coming from 30 different countries. The largest number of buyers from Indonesia, Nigeria, Australia, India, Philippines, France, Netherlands, followed by UK and the United Arab Emirates. The target of transactions is estimated to reach up to IDR 5.220 trillion – hence 22 percent increase compared to the 2021 target of IDR 4,080 trillion. “We are very enthusiastic to welcome leading sellers, buyers, and media at the 8th BBTF 2022.” added I Putu Winastra, the Head of Committee of BBTF 2022.
