11th Bangkok Grand Wine Tasting at Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok

Bangkok Grand Wine Tasting is, still the biggest and most elaborate wine professional event in Thailand, where overseas boutique wine producers and importers exhibit their wines and offer for tasting to 1,000 wine professionals, sommeliers, F&B professionals, restaurant/wine bar/wine shop owners and high-end wine lovers.

‘The 11th Bangkok Grand Wine Tasting will be held on 29th June 2018 in the Grand Ballroom, Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok’ said Mr. Joe Sriwarin, President of the Wine Professionals’ Services Limited.

The wine importing business is flourishing because Bangkok has continued to be the number one tourist destination and Thailand will receive 37 million visitors this year.

We’ve seen the volume of wine increasing year after year with more wine importers, fine dining and Michelin Star restaurants, more wine bars, wine shops and duty-free shops are opening at border crossings as well as international airports all over Thailand.” Added Mr. Sriwarin.

Geographically, Thailand is the center of Southeast Asia’s mainland where with tourism becoming the number one industry, wine is an important part of the luxury lifestyle among local and foreign visitors. With wine consumption increasingly popular among younger Thai executives, with more international restaurants and eateries than all the neighboring countries combined, this also helps in growing the wine trade.

Bangkok is now definitely the Southeast Asia Mainland’s wine hub, from here we can travel to Malaysia’s capital in the South, Myanmar in the North, Laos in the Northeast, Cambodia and Vietnam in the East, all within one hour air-time, and with borders connected to four countries (Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia), this helps make wines transporting become easier and faster.

“We are very pleased to announce the 11th Bangkok Grand Wine Tasting to be held at Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, once again.

Overseas wine owners, winemakers and representatives will be happy to learn that if they book the exhibition counters and stay at the five star property, special packages await for them. The Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok is conveniently located in the heart of capital”, said Mr. Sriwarin
