StarWorld Macau presents ginseng delights medicinal feast

Samgyetang is one of the signature ginseng dishes that many visitors will have tried when travelling in Korea. However, authentic Samgyetang is not commonly found at the restaurants in Hong Kong and Macau.

HONG KONG and MACAU – Renowned for its attentive “Asian Heart” service, StarWorld Macau understands the traditional Chinese philosophy of a restorative diet to nourish your body, especially in winter. Temptations , the international restaurant at StarWorld Macau, is delighted to present Ginseng Delights buffet featuring premium ginseng from around the world in November and December, pampering its guests by offering them a star-rated and value-for-money nutritional feast for winter.

Pan-fried Chicken Roulade with Glutinous Rice and Ginseng
Ginseng is regarded as the king of herbal medicines in Asia. Traditional Chinese medical theory suggests that it can benefit the lungs and kidneys. Modern medical studies have also confirmed that ginseng can nourish organs, reduce fatigue, and improve metabolism and immune function. However, traditional Asian ginseng cuisine tends to be rather limited in its cooking methods; the most typical one is to serve it in hot soup with stewed meat. In order to promote Asia’s healing food culture and advocate the health benefits of consuming ginseng, the chefs at StarWorld Macau have specially designed this Ginseng Delights buffet menu.

Inspired by traditional Korean style
Wild Ginseng is very rare, so ginseng cultivation history dates back to around 1,000 years ago. Korean ginseng is one of the most acclaimed species in the world and the local people are also known for serving exquisite ginseng cuisine.

Samgyetang is one of the signature ginseng dishes that many visitors will have tried when travelling in Korea. However, authentic Samgyetang is not commonly found at the restaurants in Hong Kong and Macau.

Pan-fried Chicken Roulade with Glutinous Rice and Ginseng
It is inspired by the traditional Samgyetang. Korean glutinous rice and red dates are rolled into chicken thigh meat, and then stewed with ginseng chicken soup. Guests will be attracted by the strong aroma of ginseng before they taste the roulade which has fully absorbed the essence of ginseng and chicken.

Seared Beef Rolls with Wild Mushrooms and Ginseng
The chefs have selected high quality sirloin beef to wrap the porcini mushrooms and fresh Korean ginseng. Guests can enjoy the rich texture and multiple flavours of this roll, as the juicy and tender beef has been slightly grilled, matching with fresh and crispy ginseng as well as spongy porcini.

Cold Fillet of Garoupa with Ginseng Jelly
It is commonly recommended the best way to maximize the consumable nutrient values of ginseng is to eat it uncut. The chef smashes the whole plant of both Korean and American ginsengs into ginseng powder and mixes it with milk and sugar, stirring the mixture to become a soft and creamy ginseng jelly. The delicate ginseng jelly is served with fresh avocado and high quality low-fat Garoupa fillet, which is a healthy appetizer selection.

Marinated Chicken Salad with Ginseng
This dish features chicken breast marinated in American ginseng chicken broth for at least two hours before grilling. It not only absorbs the unique flavor of American ginseng, but also preserves the juicy tenderness after grilling. Served with seasonal fruit and vegetables, this is a tantalizing and nutritional dish for all ages.

The Ginseng Delights buffet also includes an array of ginseng cuisine suitable for guests who are at different life stages and body constitutions. StarWorld Macau sincerely invites customer and their guests to visit Macau this winter and enjoy the star-rated medicated feast.
